Hi you, stranger and friend :-)

First of all, welcome to my blog!

I hope you will enjoy reading about my travels and find my advises useful for your own trips. And who knows...maybe you'll feel inspired to visit some places you never thought before.

I am Gaia, Italian and my biggest passion in life is traveling. The second thing I love the most is taking pictures of the places I see and people I meet. To be honest with you, sometimes I also like to take pictures of the food I eat, must be part of my Italian genes! ;-)

When I first started this blog, I was about to take off to a 5 months solo trip around South East Asia. This trip started back in September 2014 and ended in February 2015: it was the best thing that I could have ever done, the moment of my life where I felt 100% HAPPY, without worries nor preoccupations, just enjoying life, meeting great people, eating the best food and seeing amazing places!  

To follow my dream I quit everything I had: a boyfriend, a great job, my friends and my beloved apartment in the city center of Brussels, where I lived for over 7 years. I never regretted this choice, not for one split second! 

Now I am back in Italy, I have done many more solo trips, although not as long as 5 months, and have a, what is called, pretty "steady life". However, the urge to leave everything behind and take off again has never left me and who knows...maybe I am just preparing for a new adventure ;-)
